About the role
We are looking for a Sustainability Analyst to support ESG reporting (specifically environment, GHG, health, social performance, product stewardship) for the corporation, product groups, and the HSES function and manage tools under technology and information systems used for reporting this information.
This role is a great opportunity for an individual to be part of a team whose motive is to achieve Rio Tinto Group vision of "Zero Harm". Working 5 days on, 2 off roster and reporting to the Principal Advisor – ESG Reporting, you will be:
Reporting line: Principal Advisor – ESG Reporting
Scope: Your scope will include (but not limited to) below:
Undertaking environment, health, social performance, product stewardship, security reporting on behalf of the group to internal and external stakeholders.
Supporting corporate ESG disclosures and related analysis including benchmarking projects.
Supporting the audits (as auditee) on GHG and ESG data as carried out by external auditors.
Supporting the management of tools and systems used to facilitate reporting for the group.
Analyzing collated HSES & C data at basic and advanced level to provide meaningful insights for decision making.
Identifying and correcting data quality issues if any.
About you
We are looking for passionate candidates having:
A Professional qualification – Graduate/Post-Graduate in any of the sustainability disciplines with 6+ years of experience in the GHG reporting, ESG reporting, and sustainability domain.
Exposure to HSE ERP software(s) and prior experience working with corporate ESG disclosures will be preferred.
A healthy interest in using technology for electronic document/record management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs like MS Excel and Power BI would be preferred.
Strong analytical bent of mind.
Strong ability to prioritize information and activities based on urgency and importance.
Very strong communication skills.
