Supply Chain Manager – Portugal (Lisbon)A multinational company, which has recently established a hub in Portugal, is seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee its local supply chain operations and coordinate global activities.
This role requires a strong leadership skills, and proficiency in Portuguese, English, and French.Key Responsibilities:Procurement & Sourcing: Develop and implement strategies to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Logistics & Transportation: Oversee transportation and delivery activities, optimize shipping routes, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, implement tracking systems, and coordinate resources to meet operational demands.
Team Leadership: Manage and develop a local supply chain team, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with global strategies.
Vendor and Contract Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluate their performance, and manage the lifecycle of contracts in compliance with regulations.
Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure resilience and continuity.
Global Coordination: Collaborate with international teams to align supply chain operations and contribute to worldwide initiatives.
Performance Optimization: Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements: At least 10 years of proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in a multinational or complex operational context.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and driving results.
Expertise in procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and knowledge of international trade regulations.
Proficiency in Portuguese, English, and French is mandatory.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Experience in navigating supply chain challenges in diverse and remote environments.
