Responsible for continuous Quality Performance improvements, ensures that Suppliers fulfil ISO9001 and IATF 16949 as well as TE specific requirements.The SQE will be acting as ASQ (Advanced Supplier Quality) and manage Supplier APQP process, starting from supplier Technical & Feasibility review to Supplier PPAP Approval, followed by the Supplier Safe Launch process. Holds main interface / key contact with the supplier base during pre-serial stages.The SQE will also act as SDE (Supplier Development Engineer) and is owner of Supplier Development Program and Supplier Onboarding process for Quality topics.SQE is expert to suppliers in QMS (ISO 9001/IATF16949), LEAN Tools, Problem Solving Tools, TE System. SQE will support Procurement in Supplier Cost Improvement Workshops.SQE ensures proper communication and supports cross-functional activities at our external suppliers.Tasks And ResponsibilitiesQuality Key Contact and Account owner for assigned suppliers/commodities:Define and track Performance AgreementsDefine Supplier Improvement Plans, Supplier Escalation Process (e.g. Focus Supplier Programs, etc)Organize and Perform Suppliers Scorecard Reviews, Business Reviews, Complaint reviews and other management reviewsSupports IQE (Incoming Quality Engineer):- with Escalation on Complaint Handling- with Charge Back processLead Audits at suppliers per the Supplier Audit Plan.Supports Supplier Selection and Approval Business ProcessPerform Potential Analysis at new suppliersTraining Experts and owner of Supplier Onboarding Process for Quality.Verifies CQI certifications and supports suppliers for System Development according to IATFSupports Supplier Cost related Improvement Workshops in collaboration with ProcurementSupports the APQP Process with assigned suppliers/commodities:Involved in sourcing decisions and participate in sourcing meetingsPerforms Technical and Feasibility reviewSupports the PPAP process with SuppliersResponsible for Safe launch definition and tracking at SuppliersDefines Quality Inspection Plan Criteria for incoming inspection along with IQEResponsible for Run @ Rate events at suppliersResponsible for the Complaint Handling / Problem Solving (8D's) / Chargeback process until exiting Safe Launch period.What Your Background Should Look LikeFluent English and FrenchExpert Knowledge on ISO900 VDA 6.3., IATF16949, ISO 14000 and other Automotive Standards is a plusCertified (supplier) auditor or VDA 6.3 / IATF 16949 2nd party auditorWorking Knowledge on specific product and process as required (e.g. Molding, Stamping, …)Be familiar with the tools related to supplier APQP process, including but not limited to APQP, PPAP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC, R@R and 8D.Ability to work across cultures and countries effectively.Thorough knowledge of Problem-Solving tools (5-Why, Ishikawa/Fishbone Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis)Process and System Auditor Skills mandatorySAP basic knowledgeKnowledge in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Advanced knowledge reading technical drawings and specificationsCompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, TeamworkAbout Te ConnectivityTE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
