Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global Procurement > Gearbox Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross-functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-to-end cost-out initiatives, category strategy development, and supplier relationship management. This position is a rare opening - with high attention from senior management. The position has responsibility for the cooperation with one of our key strategic partners and a spend of +300m. You will be part of a global team that consists of colleagues in Denmark, Tianjin, Porto, Germany, and Chennai.
Responsibilities
You will join an experienced team with a very high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your daily activities will be characterized by a high activity level and requirements to engage in, coordinate and priorities between multiple different projects. Overall expected deliverables include:
Overall responsible for the cooperation with our Gearbox partnerDevelop and strengthen the partnershipParticipate in strategy and roadmap development in the cross-functional teamAlign internally with both C-Level and Modules in relation to strategies and cooperation with suppliers in the areaEarly supplier involvement - focusing on complexity reduction, design to cost, standardization and capacity risks Qualifications The right candidate has a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Sales/Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or alike, and holds solid work experience within Strategic Purchasing. As a Supplier Account Partner, you are expected to show a great example and challenge the organization in our ways of workingComprehensive communication and presentation skills including fluency in English (both orally and in writing)As the category has a high attention among senior management, high stakeholder management skills are requiredAdvanced skills within PPT, Excel and Word are a mustWe prefer SAP experience, but it is not a requirementYou have a motivation which is second to none and a natural curiosity.
