Founded by Samih Darwazah over 40 years ago in Jordan, Hikma's purpose is to provide affordable, quality medicines to the people who are competent.

At the end of the 1980s, we extended ours beyond the Middle East and acquired land in Portugal for the construction of a sterile factory for injectable pharmaceutical products.

This was an important turning point for the company, and our first step into a new region. Today, in Portugal, we have more than 900 employees and 3 factories for the production of injectable medicines.

Hikma intends to recruit a Supervisor, Packaging (m / f) to integrate the Packaging Department, on-site work.

Main Responsibilities:

Provides oversight regarding all department activities including washing, inspection, labelling and packaging.

Monitors the process to ensure that operations are performed accurately and in compliance with relevant cGMPs and SOPs.

Ensures that no interruptions take place in the packaging processes as a result of personnel, supply materials, and/or equipment shortages.

Manages the department equipment, requests, and stock control of consumables.

Generates and follows up the daily/weekly packaging plans in coordination with other departments, and reports on daily packaging events to management.

Creates, updates, and reviews written procedures (SOP's).

Reviews labelling & packaging master batch records and respective BOM's and related documentation such as change controls.

Conducts and reviews packaging investigations and protocols.

Manages the staff in the Packaging department, recruits new staff.

Conducts performance evaluations of staff performance in conjunction with the HR department and Manager.

Reviews, approves, and keeps track of personnel related data and documentation such as absence records.

Conducts training sessions and quality circles when necessary.

Ensures that company policies and strategies are conveyed to all packaging personnel and encourages them to remain motivated.

Profile:

Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Technical Science (Preferred).

Availability to work shifts.

Knowledge and understanding of how to conduct work in a packaging environment.

2-4 years of professional experience preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Training and technical coaching.

Written and oral communication skills.

Computer skills including Word and Excel.

Intermediate level of English.
