Vestas Technology & Operations > Research & Development (R&D) > Nacelle Structure The Nacelle Structure sub-module is part of the Nacelle module, which is responsible for all design and development of components in Rear structures and Heli hoist. The Nacelle structure department is working across the Nacelle module to secure world-class quality in both development and processes.
Responsibilities FEA assessment and working on local and global FEA modelling for Nacelle Structure & internals components, cover components and base frame & yaw componentsAnalyze/write DVRE reportsDesign for functionality, including functional interfacesDesign performance and reliability including lifetime estimates of the designDesign verification (incl. FEA), validation and reportsDesign risk associated with the designWorking closely with Product certification (DNV and other certification)Generate solutions for design challengesQualifications A bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or similarIdeally 3 years of experience in a similar roleKnowledge of the following software: Ansys Mechanical; Ansys Parametric Design Language (APDL); Ansys Spaceclaim; Creo/Creo ViewUnderstanding of turbine loads and technical understanding of a wind turbine generator would be an asset, but not a requirementCompetencies The ideal candidate would bring experience in some or all of the following technical areas:
