The Position The Strategic Forecast Manager role encompasses deliverable in strategic and demand forecasting. For strategic forecasting, the primary responsibilities will be to support brand forecast development for Long-Range Operating Plan (LROP) and Profit Plan (PP). The majority of forecasts will be for new products, launching brands, or life cycle opportunities. This role works with an offshore team to deliver forecasting models and analytics used to create forecast submissions. For demand forecasting, the primary responsibilities will be to guide the statistical demand forecasting offshore members in KPI development and solve operation issues as they arise.
Responsibilities Partner with global commercial teams, country commercial teams, and other supporting functions such as finance, pricing and access, and market research, to deliver robust strategic forecasts and supporting analysis as submissions to LROP, PP, and off-cycle business cases.Guide offshore team in the development of forecasting models and analytics.Ensure forecasts deliver robust, grounded forecasts and key stakeholders are aligned.Guide demand forecasting offshore teams as they produce statistical forecasts, helping them with country and OMS alignment.Work with OMS members to understand the implications of forecast error and bias on the OMS supply chain, developing and tracking appropriate KPIs to guide performance.Required Education, Experience, and Skills Education: Bachelor's degree required;Minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical industry experienceMinimum of 3 years pharmaceutical forecasting experienceDemonstrated ability to collaborate in diverse teamsDemonstrated project management capabilitiesRequired Abilities: Strong analytical skills; an aptitude for problem solving and strategic thinkingStrong knowledge of forecasting techniques / software and quantitative problem-solvingSeasoned negotiation skills with innovative mindsetSolid project management abilities, often juggling multiple projects and competing prioritiesStrong group facilitation abilities and presentation skillsPreferred Education, Experience, and Skills Education: MS/MA/MBA degree in analytical field preferredPreferred Experience Working knowledge of major healthcare marketsDemonstrated leadership skills to drive decision making and resultsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to manage ambiguity and adapt to changing business needsAbility to work across divisions and functions to ensure work progresses effectively and efficientlyCommercial analytics or market research is desirable
