What's the job?As a Data Analyst and Systems Biology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing metabolic pathways for the bioproduction of chemical compounds, utilizing advanced AI-driven data and retrosynthesis techniques to drive innovation in research and development. You will analyze data from fermentation processes and employ predictive models to gain deeper insights into these designed systems. By collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, you will contribute significantly to the optimization of biological systems and processes, fostering breakthroughs in our research initiatives and elevating strain performance.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and optimize metabolic pathways for the bioproduction of chemical compounds, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry standards.Utilize AI-driven data and retrosynthesis insights to inform pathway designs and enhance bioproduction strategies.Identify and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of biological systems and processes, continually refining them to enhance strain performance and output consistency.Implement advanced predictive models to simulate biological processes and forecast system behavior, enabling proactive decision-making.Analyze and interpret data from fermentation processes to assess performance metrics such as yields and mass balance, identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including computational developers, molecular biologists, chemists, and engineers, to drive projects forward and ensure alignment with research goals.Maintain accurate documentation of designs and data analysis, leveraging internal collaborative platforms to facilitate effective knowledge sharing and team synergy.BenefitsSalary will be proposed considering the candidate's experience. The successful candidate should ideally possess: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (PhD is a plus).Demonstrated experience in designing and analyzing metabolic pathways with a solid understanding of systems biology principles and microbial metabolism.Strong skills in understanding and interpreting the complexities of metabolic processes and pathways to identify optimization opportunities and enhance strain performance.Expertise in analyzing data from fermentation processes, including calculating yields and performing mass balance assessments to optimize process efficiency and output.Keen attention to detail in maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring data integrityA proactive attitude towards learning and applying new technologies and methodologies to drive innovation in research projects.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams comprising computational developers, molecular biologists, chemists, and engineers.
