Statutory Accountant

Available locations: Lisbon, Portugal | Mexico City or Mexico RemoteJob Summary and MissionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated accounting specialist to help support the Statutory Team. The Statutory Accountant will be responsible for preparing journal entries to support timely financial statements close and ensuring all activity recorded in line with Local GAAP. Assisting in the preparation of annual statutory filings, including core financial statements, supporting schedules and footnote disclosures. This position will also support the monthly general ledger closing process, as well as any other support that is necessary within the Finance Department.Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Assists in the preparation of monthly financial reports and GL postingsPrepares various account reconciliations, schedules, exhibits and summaries to support the general ledger balancesPrepares reconciliations between US GAAP and Local GAAPParticipate in the interim and annual audits for the CompanyProvides support to all areas of the Accounting Department as neededPerforms other analysis and special projects as assignedQualifications/Required KnowledgeMinimum 5 years of relevant experienceMix of Statutory Accounts preparation and audit experienceAbility to manage multiple priorities to meet established time linesMust possess excellent computer skills and have the ability to work with the accounting software packageExcel skills including working knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, formulas, etc.Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to interact with peers and senior management.Ability to work independentlyDegree in AccountingStrong problem-solving skills, ability to develop, organize and complete large-scale projects, passion for continuous process improvementsStrong technical skills including proficiency in NetSuiteDecision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
