Our Shared Service Center seeks an SSC Team Leader Accountant who studies Portuguese Accounting and Tax. This professional will be responsible for preparing financial analyses of accounting sub-ledger activity and managing and overseeing assigned portions of the general ledger.
Responsible for all the team and the process's to ensuring critical controls are performed and effectively maintained.
Procurement to Payment (P2P)
Assemble invoices to be completed for payment (approximately 4000 invoices/month).
Be in contact with the departments to follow the purchasing process.
Oversee the high-quality delivery of Accounts Payable, BTE (Business Travel Expenses), VAT Invoice Allocation, and New Business Payment Structure.
A solid understanding of the core finance transactional process of Purchase to Pay.
Staying updated with current and emerging trends in shared services and customer experience and formulating policies to support the implementation of new actions as a project manager.
Manages service delivery and daily operations of the SSC, ensuring all standards are met and procedures followed.
Establishes quality control mechanisms such as client surveys and periodic data quality assurance.

Define the skills needs of its scope in line with the company's strategic orientations.
Conduct interviews, assess direct employees, and implement appropriate recognition or disciplinary measures.
Arbitrate team priorities according to the context and the company's priorities.
Create a work environment conducive to the achievement of objectives.
Consolidate and monitor the indicators of its scope.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Five years minimum of experience in the Shared Services Center, including three years of managerial experience with diverse teams in different countries.
Proficiency in ERP systems: SAP and IFS (any other system is a plus).
In-depth knowledge of core finance transactional processes - Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, and GL & tax.
In-depth knowledge of VAT accounting and other taxes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Fluent in English (both spoken and written), and French is a plus.
