What will YOU do?65% – Chief Accountant and monthly closing activities:Ensure and prepare monthly financial statements in compliance with USGAAP accounting principles and company procedures, within the timelines set in cooperation with Management and other functions.Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End Financial Reporting to EIMEA Accounting Team.Ensure that Financial Statements give a true and fair view of company's business.Ensure that Statutory Annual Accounts and Tax Returns are filed on a timely and accurate manner in cooperation with local tax advisors.Responsible for all Other Statutory and Tax Filings required at the company level (e.g.
National Statistics questionnaires, VAT Declarations, WHT Forms, SAF-T Reports, among others).Responsible for the elaboration of 10-K report and Corporate Tax Questionnaires annually.Responsible for verifying that the Legal Statutory Requirements are being fulfilled and act as a facilitator with SAP Project Team to ensure the Legal updates (when applicable) will be ready on a timely manner and any issue identified will be reported and pursued until further conclusion.Act as GFS EIMEA multi-element agreements expert.Responsible for all the journal entries and ensure that all the supporting documentation is in place.Partner with Plant Manager and Operations Business Partners to gather input for accruals and journal entries.Responsible for monthly account reconciliations, ensuring that all the supporting documentation is in place and the aging balance is appropriate.Assist with or direct other team member's monthly close responsibilities as necessary.Support management on journal entries review and approval.Support management with the external and internal PBCs audit requests and variance analysis.
Assist with deep understanding and compliance of HBF policies across the EIMEA RtR team.Perform the internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements.Other RTR related tasks as required.30% – Analytical review activities:Prepare Balance Sheet variance analysis and comments, monthly and quarterly, following the Company thresholds.Prepare Monthly P&L variance analysis and comments per GL account and cost centers, identifying the main drivers and trigger early warnings of unusual trends or transactions in collaboration with the GFS Finance Controlling Team.
Ensure regular communication with the stakeholders, providing insightful information of companies' development.Support RtR Financial Controlling team understanding of the P&L main drivers / outliers for actual reporting.Promptly investigate and signal issues derived from the data analyzed to ensure accurate financial statements (where required).Support all other analysis and activities requested by management.5% – Process improvement and other projects: Review process documentation for transitioned & existing work to ensure that the documentation of our processes and procedures is of a sufficient standard to support business continuity objectives.
Improve processes and controls of Finance Information Systems and Internal Controls with objective of simplifying and standardizing the accounting structure and enhancing accuracy of the financial statements.Support the Harmonization and Implementation of Finance Information Systems and Internal Controls.
Provide business testing for SAP system updates and changes related to RTR.Minimum Requirements: Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related area.Strong accounting technical background with a Professional Accounting Qualification (Portuguese Certified Accountant);Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience preferably in multinational companies or Share Service Centers.Excellent written and spoken English skills.Experienced working with SAP or another ERP system are essential.Advanced Excel based skills are essential.Organized, Motivated, Professional and Excellent Analytical Skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other colleagues.Detail-oriented, organized and resourceful with a strong orientation to results.Ability to lead, solve problems and communicate at all levels.Some availability to travel may be required.Preferred Requirements:Strong USGAAP and Local GAAP knowledge and experience.Transfer Pricing Experience.Knowledge of SOX and internal controls related with Financial Reporting.Written and spoken German or French will be a plus.Demonstrate experience of delivering finance systems improvements.
