At the end of the 1980s, we extended ours beyond the Middle East and acquired land in Portugal for the construction of a sterile factory for injectable pharmaceutical products. This was an important turning point for the company, and our first step into a new region. Today, in Portugal, we have more than 900 employees and 3 factories for the production of injectable medicines.
Hikma intends to recruit an Sr. Engineer, Infrastructure (m/f) to integrate Infrastructure Department, on-site work.
Main Responsibilities:
Demonstrates ability to identify and implement new ideas that will improve efficiency of the systems and/or the processes.
Coordinates new projects under infrastructure scope.
Ability to coordinate multiple discipline tasks/contractors and update project plans.
Consult and align project specs with Hikma experiences and internal SOP.
Health and safety of all workers/visitors during the project's execution.
Coordinates activities with other Hikma Departments.
Writes, reviews, and revises department applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service procedures.
Liaises with external maintenance contractors, ensuring conformance of activities to procedures and processes.
Controls Infrastructure Maintenance KPI and other key metrics regarding utilities.
Supports audit preparation at site.
Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
Profile:
Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years in maintenance, pharmaceutical, or food industry environment.
Demonstrated Industrial Maintenance skills on mechanical and electrical systems.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Solid knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, HVAC, Water treatment, Electrical, and Steam systems, acquired on-the-job and with certified training entities.
Ability to coordinate multiple discipline tasks/contractors and update project plans.
Should have attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
