Job Description – Specialist in Accounting and Financial Management
August One  is  currently seeking a Specialist in Accounting and Financial Management to join our team in Portugal .  This will primarily be a digital job.
The candidate will be responsible to enable the company's leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company objectives. They must have the ability to work well in a fast paced organization, be deadline oriented, with an attention to detail and be self-driven.  Fluency in English and Portuguese is required. 
The successful candidate will get incredible experience working in a professional Family Office and Venture  Capital environment and will be able to learn how international investment management works.
The specific responsibilities for this position
Ensures business processes, administration, invoices, receipts, accounting, book-keeping and financial management.
Maintains an accurate filing , invoicing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents. Ensure all transactions are properly documented and classified.
Management of all payments including vendor payments and managing the bank transactions.
Review, monitor and manage budgets and  financial reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements such as declarations, filings etc
Produce and deliver reports to support informed decision-making
Coordination with accountants, auditor's and service providers as required
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 1-3 years of work experience; ideally in finance and accounting
Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or similar
Knowledge of the portuguese accounting principles (SNC) and fiscal regulations
Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to understand local accounting softwares such as primavera
Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners and stakeholders
Ability to multitask and prioritize in an extremely fast paced environment and to remain calm under  pressure and be flexible to changing priorities
Salary Range (euros) 
12k - 16k /year
