To join our team in January 2025, we are looking for a well-qualified and talented Head of Mathematics and Mathematics Teacher, to teach Cambridge Lower Secondary Mathematics, IGCSE Mathematics and IB DP Mathematics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide targeted, individualized support to students with special educational needs within the International Stream.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated lesson plans.
Conduct assessments to identify students' specific learning needs and create individualized education plans (IEPs) accordingly.
Support students in achieving academic, social, and emotional goals by employing evidence-based teaching methodologies.
Liaise with parents, guardians, and external specialists to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education and well-being.
Monitor and report on the progress of students with SEN, adjusting teaching plans as needed.
Provide guidance, training, and resources to teaching staff to enhance understanding and implementation of inclusive practices.
Foster a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity.
Actively contribute to co-curricular and enrichment programmes, supporting the holistic development of students.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A recognized teaching qualification and additional certification or training in Special Educational Needs (e.g., SENCO, SEND qualification).
Proven experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably within an international school setting.
Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum, Cambridge Programme, International Baccalaureate Diploma programme, or equivalent international frameworks.
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies, differentiated instruction, and intervention techniques.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a positive, growth-oriented mindset.
Passion for promoting equity, inclusion, and the holistic development of all learners.
