Sub-Chef About Us Wave Nest Surfcamp is a sustainable surf tourism provider. We organize a whole week of activities for you to enjoy surfing, yoga, nature, and social life with people from all over.
Are you a food enthusiast with great skills in the kitchen and a passion for cooking amazing dinners for everyone? We are looking for an individual with great discipline and organizational skills to help prepare one of the greatest and most looked-for moments of the day.
Responsibilities: Help the chef manage and deliver an amazing dinner for everyone.
Monitor inventory, clean the work environment regularly, and maintain a positive attitude in the kitchen.
Ensure strict adherence to hygiene and safety standards in your workplace.
Regularly inspect kitchen equipment and report any issues for maintenance.
Monitor food storage practices to prevent contamination and spoilage.
Address inquiries, special requests, or complaints promptly and professionally.
Divide workload with the chef to ensure a balanced environment in the kitchen.
Collect feedback to improve the dinner experience and report it to the chef.
On the chef's day off or in any situation that might interfere with the chef's shift, you will take charge of the kitchen.
Requirements: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service.
Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
After checkout on Saturdays, around 12 am, the entire Wave Nest crew will unite to deep clean the camp for a few hours. Each member of the crew has a role. In the kitchen department, you will join the Head Chef and the Breakfast Chef to deep clean the kitchen and food serving area.

Activities: Crew or guests, everyone is welcome to join our activities programmed for making new friends and having a great time.
Time Off: Benefit from one day off per week, aligned with the main department's schedule, to explore the surroundings, spend the day in the water, or simply relax and recharge.
We open from the 1st of June until the 26th of October.
