We are looking for a candidate who will bring a strategic and innovative procurement approach to Convatec as we continue our transformation journey.This is a key role within the Global Procurement function and will see the successful person be responsible for-- end procurement management within categories relevant to New Product development.By developing long term strategic procurement plans to align our current and future customer/business needs, you will be a key part of our ongoing transformation.The role is focused on supporting New Product Development (NPD) projects prior commercial launch and as Sourcing manager you will be representing Global Procurement in the NPD project teams.How you will add value:Develop fully integrated customer &- aligned procurement strategies for assigned suppliers & product categories.Engage and manage critical relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that the procurement strategies are aligned, and the supply base can support NPD project requirements.Lead the implementation of your procurement strategy, ensuring procurement activities deliver successful results.Be accountable for delivering successful supply agreements for materials/products and/or services that support our procurement strategies.Take ownership of Source to Contract (S2C) processes, from identification through to award.Through successful Supplier Relationship Management, be accountable for for ensuring that the continually assessing the supplier base, ensuring it is and developed to meet changing demands.Create a network of key customers and executive sponsors across advanced operations, and all global business units.Lead and develop direct reports, to ensure continued business and personal success.What you should bring to the role :5 years + working within a Strategic Procurement/Sourcing environment preferably in a regulated industry, with MCIPS to level 6 (or equivalent in the location country).Demonstrable understanding of Strategic Procurement principles, inclusive of strategy development and successful implementation.Experience working with- procurement tools to find, evaluate & select the best vendors to support project requirements.An autonomous,- starter with a good understanding of how to map out, build and maintain and manage a relevant global stakeholder network, both internally and externally.Results and solution oriented, with a focus on meeting required targets and deadlines.Possess significant ability for analytical- solving and analysis/interpretation of complex problems, incorporating data gathered from a variety of sources/software tools.Experience of negotiating with suppliers on all commercial and contractual matters and applying judgement as to what constitutes an acceptable level of contractual risk and supply resilience.Able to promote and foster new ideas and strategies among internal and external stakeholders, challenging the status quo with sustainable solutions.Travel requirements:International travel requirements up to 20% of time primarily across Europe and North AmericaWorking Conditions:Hybrid working/Remote working possible (to be discussed)Language Skills Required:Speaking: Yes EnglishWriting/Reading: Yes English#LI-Remote#LI-LE1Beware of scams online or from individuals claiming to represent ConvatecA formal recruitment process is required for all our opportunities prior to any offer of employment.
