What the job looks like:
Leads the tactical procurement part within "Source to Contract" (S2C) process of defined area; executes RfQs, negotiations and contracting;
Provides functional and operational support to assigned countries/entities/spend areas/sub-categories; acts as business partner and key contact for budget holders and leadership teams; leads discussions and decisions with regards to S2C processes;
Takes responsibility for assigned spend areas/sub-categories with the professional guidance of procurement leads; supports the development and execution of the respective strategies;
Assesses and evaluates demand requirements raised by countries/entities; informs, escalates and discusses requirements with procurement leads and global procurement team;
Conducts analysis/reports to identify bundling effects, framework contracts and catalogues; conducts operational supplier performance management;
Implements procurement awareness amongst all relevant process stakeholders; provides comprehensive governance framework for procurement process; monitors and reports on spend and obligo; ensures accuracy of purchase orders;
Ensures compliance to standard processes across functions, departments and regions, especially Tendering and Contract Management including document management; supports vendor due diligence process and master data management for vendors;
Contributes on change and continuous improvement initiatives for optimization of Global Procurement and the spend categories to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
What you'll bring to the table:
Degree – preferably in business;
Relevant practical experience with at least 3-5 years in a comparable role in a state-of-the-art procurement and External Supply/Contract Manufacturing organizations;
Practical tactical/operational expertise in procurement processes;
Relevant experience to manage commercial agreements with Contract Manufacturers within the Pharmaceutical business;
Good understanding of supply markets in typical spend areas; experience in cross-functional projects;
Fluent in English and Spanish; German and Italian a plus;
Basic understanding of contract law;
Very good analytical, communication and presentation skills;
Excellent MS Office skills and knowledge of SAP MM, eSourcing & other eProcurement tools.
