The focus will be predominantly on day-to-day activities but with an eye for improving the way work is done (e.g., system improvements).
Will report to a more senior sourcing team member and directly support 1-3 managers/directors.Primary Responsibilities:30%- 60% Analytics20%-60% Transactional0-20% Systems and ProcessesSourcing: manage packaging categories and ensure the best total value and supply assurance.Sourcing Support: first line of contact with plants and suppliers to resolve payment issues, assistance with requests for quotes and bids, bid analysis, volume tracking for rebates and against contracts for compliance with business commitments, perform periodic analysis of spend, ensure compliance in ERP and other systems.Transactional: system support price updates, invoice discrepancy resolution, and vendor setup.
Comply with Sourcing's best practices, policies, and procedures.Resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.Manage minimum and maximum order quantities and total volumes.Assurance of supply, superior cost management, and uncompromising stewardship supporting our internal & external customers.
Additional support responsibilities to include various project-related work and daily management tasks related to material sourcing, usage tracking, forecasting, and price reconciliation.Supervision of 1-2 interns.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or greater, AND 2-year experience in Sourcing functions.Experience working with S&OP/ERP/payment systems.2 years' experience in petrochemical or packaging industries.Strong analytic skills with a focus on compliance and regulatory standards.Self-motivated, can function with little/no daily direction setting from manager.Demonstrated strong desire and innate capability to learn.Problem-solving capabilities, strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal skills in English and other languages desired (e.g., German and French).#LI-SC1
