Who You'll Work With You will join one of our Madrid, Lisbon or Wroclaw office as part of our Manufacturing and Supply Chain (MSC) Solutions group, a component of McKinsey's Operations practice that focuses on deeply tech-enabling our client service.
In addition to working with 3rd party software providers such as Kinaxis, o9, SAP, Blue Yonder, Anaplan etc. MSC Solutions also comprises an ecosystem of customizable, web-based digital tools that turbocharge McKinsey diagnostics while serving as a platform on which clients can digitize their plants and production environments to improve performance. During this process, you will further enhance our open-source technology that allows groups to capitalize on existing modules and use pre-built benchmarking infrastructure.
You will work directly with our clients and McKinsey colleagues to deploy our digital capabilities and ensure we bring tangible, lasting impact to clients. Our client project teams work with major global organizations across multiple industries to solve their most challenging problems. In most cases, this means working on site, directly with client engineering groups. Additionally, you will work with internal product development teams to ensure we optimize our capabilities and constantly innovate.
What You'll Do You will spend a significant part of your time solving complex client problems in the Supply Chain domain, specializing in digital Supply Chain Planning supported by a global network of SCM Connections.
You will work in teams to collaborate with our clients to define new organizational structures, roles, and processes across global organizations. This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating, and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations for presentation to client management.
You will make a meaningful, hands-on contribution to the analysis, design, and implementation of business performance improvement approaches driven by improved planning, developing tailor-made solutions, and working closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results.

Your key responsibility will be to design and deploy solution architecture for the chosen technology solution, e.g. Kinaxis, o9, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, Anaplan etc. facilitating integration of clients legacy systems and advanced planning solution.
Additionally, you will help to enhance the collective firm's knowledge with regard to supply chain technology, contributing to our knowledge base and helping to create new offerings to be deployed to clients.
Projects may include leading the deployment of supply chain planning solutions for clients, assisting clients with the selection of technology for supply chain planning, stochastic simulation of inventory levels with the objective of creating a robust inventory policy, and conducting diagnostics on supply chain health and performance for our clients.
You will play an integral role in the project team throughout the implementation life cycle starting from blueprinting phase where you will lead design of solution architecture followed by build phase where you will advise the project team and clients on implementation of designed architecture. You will support end users during UAT and advise on creation of comprehensive training documents to assist with change management.
You will use your expertise to drive change in system and help guide clients on their digital supply chain journeys, as well as improvements to the overall execution of the supply chain.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred8+ years' experience in a client-facing consulting role configuring and deploying supply chain planning systems such as Kinaxis, SAP IBP, o9, etc.Experience with agile and scrum methodologies and/or familiarity with common ERP systems (e.g., SAP) preferredKnowledge and training in databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and skills one or more languages like SQL, MDX, T-SQL or similar is desirableDeep understanding of supply chain planning concepts including Demand Management, Distribution Planning, Master Planning and S&OPGood understanding of data requirements for advanced planning systems and the technical requirements for data integration and optimizationAbility to analyse and process large amounts of data and complement it with intuition to prioritize and focus on the highest value opportunities or the biggest risks is keyDemonstrated aptitude for analyticsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and work effectively with people at all levels in an organizationStrong ability to lead by example and demonstrate proficiency in both product and domainSkills to communicate complex ideas effectivelyPatient listener with the ability clearly articulate your view point to manage and deliver to customer expectations, even under pressureProficient in the use of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint for analysis and presentationYou will be based out of our Madrid/Lisbon/Wroclaw offices and should be comfortable with extensive travel, up to 80%
