LEICA PORTUGAL is searching for a Solution Architect to its facilities in V. N. Famalicão.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Within the R&D Team, this professional will be responsible for the development of complex software systems, applications and architecture in intercultural collaboration for digital sports optics. Will interact with various company departments, suppliers and partners.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning activities
Technology scouting in the area of camera software and imaging platformDiscussing the technical possibilities before and during the specification phase together with developers and commercialisation managementIdentifying imprecise formulations or contradictory requirements in the specificationsDeveloping the architecture of the system and the support systemsTechnical design of the system (system design)Analysing the feasibilityDescription of non-functional requirementsSpecification of the system integrationDiscussing the technical possibilities before and during the specification phase together with developersTesting of software systemsAdopting new software development concepts and strategiesSupporting project managers in technical issues
Development activities during the development phase
Identification, selection and introduction of required development toolsCo-determination in the selection of partners, suppliers and software platformsManaging partners (software suppliers) with regard to technical issuesPlanning test circuits and guiding other developers to set them upPlanning the software functionality for the applications, taking into account the system architectureDefining software interfaces in the teamRealising and testing the hardware and software interfacesCreating, testing and documenting the source code for the applicationCreating test reports and exchanging the results with developersTesting the hardware and software system for compliance with specificationsOptimising, releasing and documenting the developed applications
Activities in preparation for series production
Creation of test specifications, implementation and execution of corresponding module, function and system testsDefining the test conditions together with quality assuranceCollaboration with production planning during the realisation of a test devicePerforming activities within the scope of product start-up and product maintenanceOptimisation of a test concept for the developed softwareSearching for and identifying opportunities to optimise the quality of the software and test concept PROFILE Completed university degree in electronics, IT or systems engineering or industrial management and engineering;5 years of proven experience in a similar role, pref. in image processing or photographic sensors;Good understanding or additional training in project management;Problem-solving and ability to create new solutions;Structured, data-oriented and methodical way of working;Ability to work in a team, resilience and assertiveness;Fluency in written and spoken English
