The Framework department at Vestas Wind Systems focuses on developing and maintaining low-level software stacks used in control systems across our entire product portfolio. Our team consists of highly skilled software engineers working closely on critical system software components, including Framework, operating systems, and input/output systems.
As part of the global Software Platforms & Connectivity unit, we collaborate with colleagues in Denmark and the Vestas Design Center in Porto, contributing to a diverse and innovative environment. Our work provides the technological foundation that powers Vestas' advanced wind energy solutions worldwide.
Responsibilities
Support Low-Level Software Development: Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of low-level software stacks used in control systems across Vestas' product portfolio.
Collaborate on System Software Projects: Work alongside senior engineers to develop and optimize system software, including frameworks, operating systems, and input/output systems.
Bug Tracking and Debugging: Help identify, evaluate, and resolve software issues in the control systems to ensure smooth operation and performance.
Integration Testing: Participate in the integration of software components and perform testing to ensure functionality and compatibility with hardware platforms.
Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation for various software components, including system architecture and design processes.
Code Review Participation: Participate in code reviews to learn from experienced developers and ensure code quality and consistency.
Qualifications
MSc in Computer Science, Informatics, or Electrical and Computer Engineering from an accredited University.
Competencies
Ability to gain and apply knowledge about complex issues.
Structured and quality-minded.
Speak and write English fluently.
