The Role:
We are seeking a talented engineer to integrate the Innovation team. The candidate will join a forward-thinking team having good prospects for further learning and development. The candidate will have the opportunity to address internal technical challenges and to interface with external partners working on National (Portuguese) and International collaborative research projects. With Rail as a core segment, the innovation activities cover multi-modal solutions aiming to support transport operators and travelers in making the public transportation environments more efficient and pleasant and the preferred choice for mobility.
Key responsibilities will include: Activities or Interaction in collaborative project's partners coordination tasks or participating in definition, design or development activities;
Involvement in Division's R&D technical and innovation clusters driving and supporting high-end technologies and solutions;
Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product;
Develop high-level specifications for products or components;
Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards;
Support software architectural design and definition;
Participate in the definition of functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications;
Communicate concepts and guidelines to development team;
Oversee progress and consistency of developments;
Provide technical support to developers and engineers.
Required skills: Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, .NET, Java etc.);
Good knowledge of software and application design and architecture;
Good knowledge of UML and other modeling methods;
Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design;
Understanding of software quality assurance principles;
Technical mindset with attention to detail;
Good written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English).
Optional preferred skills: Good knowledge of AI concepts and tools;
Familiarity with C++.
Qualifications: Higher education degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent.
