Can you lead the change to renewable energy? Vestas Technology & Operations > Research & Development (R&D) > AEP & Environmental In the Power Systems Integration area, you will have an important role in the organization within Vestas.
In Power System Integration, we focus on product development while interacting closely with the market and engaging in various R&D activities with external collaborators.
AEP & Environmental is a sub-module of the Power System Integration module, responsible for designing and developing solutions that protect the environment while ensuring maximum energy production of the power plant.
The main focus areas include non-mechanical solutions related to Avian protection (birds and bats), Light pollution (Flickering shadows and Aviation lights), and Ice Control/mitigation.
We work with internally developed systems as well as integration with third-party systems.
The department consists of a mix of Software specialists, architects, and developers working from offices in Denmark (Aarhus), Portugal (Porto), and Poland (Gdansk).
This position is based at the Vestas Technology Center in Porto, Portugal.
Responsibilities You will join a global team of specialists, technical leads, and developers and work in a Scrum team on software development.
Your responsibilities will include:
Code and implement solutions, automated testing, and corresponding documentationEngage with functional leads, tech leads, and other colleagues to support breaking down requirements and estimations in the projectsInterface with both the field and project environment to provide software solutions that cater to customer needsAct as a peer reviewer on code and documentationQualifications You may hold an engineering degree (B.Sc or higher) in Software, Computer Science, or similar.
