Job DescriptionThe candidate will serve as the Feature SW Architect for Interior Sensing Solutions, playing a key role in advancing automotive software applications within the XC-AS/ERC37 group. In this role, the Software Architect will hold primary responsibility for designing and overseeing software architecture solutions at both the feature and solution levels. They will coordinate and lead efforts to integrate these architectural solutions into the feature development workflow, ensuring robust alignment with project objectives and fostering seamless collaboration across the team. The architect will play a pivotal role in shaping and refining the software architecture to support innovative, high-quality feature development.
Develop and own software architecture for specific features within Interior Sensing Solutions, supporting functionality like occupant monitoring, driver monitoring and cabin sensing.Define and document architectural frameworks, design principles, and technical specifications that guide feature development and integration.Ensure software architecture adheres to automotive industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices, emphasizing modularity, scalability, and performance.Lead the integration of architectural solutions into the feature development lifecycle, working closely with product owners, developers, and QA teams to ensure efficient execution.Coordinate architectural aspects of feature development across teams, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.Serve as a technical liaison to bridge communication between developers, project managers, and other stakeholders, fostering collaborative progress toward shared objectives.Provide expertise and guidance on software architecture best practices to drive feature quality and maintainability, supporting team members in troubleshooting complex architectural challenges.Engage in technical reviews to assess design, code quality, and architectural coherence, ensuring all elements meet rigorous quality standards.Stay current with industry trends and innovations in automotive software architecture, recommending enhancements and introducing new technologies where appropriate.Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, design specifications, and technical reports to ensure a robust knowledge base.Identify opportunities to improve the feature development workflow.QualificationsProficient in using Enterprise Architect and UML for architectural modeling and documentation.Strong knowledge of C++ (or other OOP language) programming language (3+ years of experience).Experience in collaborating with business stakeholders, solution architects, and the CTO to derive and define clear functional requirements for feature development.Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) design principles (SOLID, DRY, KISS). Familiarity with design patterns such as the Singleton, Factory, Observer, Strategy, Decorator, and Adapter patterns.Experience in designing and documenting architectural solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring modularity, scalability, and maintainability.
