.As the Soft Funding Manager, you will identify, apply for, and monitor government grants, loans, tax credits, and incentives at local, Portuguese, and EU levels to support Lifthium's business. You will write persuasive applications and monitor their process, working closely with internal teams and fostering relationships with government agencies. You will work closely with the CTO and other business disciplines, namely Legal and Finance. Identify local, Portuguese-level and EU-level government grants, loans, tax credits and other incentives that support Lifthium's business (incl. communicating directly with program officers/administrators to seek clarification into the program eligibility criteria and the application process, and insights into any program strategic drivers); Identify potential winning partners and collaborate to prepare and submit winning applications together; Write clear and well-structured applications that align Lifthium's and each project's requirements and that ultimately result in funding; Monitor application process from beginning to end, incl. developing and maintaining master files on incentives and related paperwork; Manage compliance withgovernment loans, tax credits and others, working closely with finance and legal teams; Develop and manage effective working relationships with government agencies offering grants and loans and administering tax credits and other incentives. BSc/MSc degree in Business, Communications, Languages, Political Sciences or related fields; Extensive network, knowledge and influence in soft funding circles in Iberia, Europe and beyond; Proven experience in preparing, writing, presenting, and tracking successful grant applications. Experience with winning grants in the chemicals industry is a distinct advantage; Master negotiator capable to work with sensitive data and topics; Excellent project management skills, ability to prioritize work and resources, and to meet deadlines, attention to details; Collaborative mindset necessary to closely work with several stakeholders, and an enthusiastic team player; Proficient in spoken and written English a necessity, proficiency in Portuguese a distinct advantage.
