JOB DESCRIPTION
ServiceNow Implementation Specialist
The ServiceNow Implementation Specialist delivers the software configuration and development aspects through the full life cycle of client solutions on the ServiceNow platform. They should be able to perform all implementation activities including core setup, performance tuning, configuration, and integration concepts using Web Services. They are capable of delivering consulting, design, implementation, and transformation services, leveraging their experience in enterprise technology projects and their passion for client success.
Responsibilities
The ServiceNow Implementation Specialist is a subject matter expert (SME) who manages end-to-end implementations, provides expert-level support, and offers technical mentoring to developers. Responsibilities include:
Create tables and schemas
Set up common integrations (LDAP, Single Sign-on, Multi-factor Authentication)
Implement Web Services and REST, Orchestration, and Discovery Integrations
Integration implementation and troubleshooting experience with various third-party tools using different interfaces provided by ServiceNow, like web services, JDBC, and data sources
Tune performance of the system
Access high-security settings
Implement approaches that meet requirements while preserving upgradability, scalability, and maintainability
Develop solutions that work in conjunction with baseline application functionality
Select appropriate features and functions to meet business requirements
Work on primary application components (Script Includes, Business Rules, etc.)
Understand and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for cutover go-live preparation
Participate in gathering and recording technical requirements during workshops along with solution architects/consultants
Prepare go-live preparation and checklist for implementation and upgrade projects, including hands-on implementation based on functional requirements
Involve in ServiceNow upgrades with the help of the development team
Role Pre-Requisites
The candidate should have 4-6 years of deep development and implementation experience in ServiceNow ITSM and Non-ITSM applications. They should have exposure to ServiceNow Advanced System Administration and ServiceNow Scripting in a minimum of 2 ServiceNow deployment projects or while maintaining ServiceNow instances.
Technical Skills
Java, Angular JS, Jelly Scripting, Bootstrap knowledge, HTML and CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, DBMS Concepts, ServiceNow ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Release, SLM, Reporting), ServiceNow Non-ITSM Applications (ITSM, ITBM, ITFM, HRMS, CSM, ITOM), ServiceNow Platform and Cloud architecture understanding.
