Role: ServiceNow Developer
Purpose: The ServiceNow Developer is primarily responsible for the development and administration of the client's IT Service Management environment. Creates complex system configuration, development of custom features and enhancements, and complex report and database query development based on customer requirements.
Responsibilities: The ServiceNow Developer will own the development tasks of the solution based on integration of ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will understand configuration management principles. They will perform the necessary tasks to design and develop configurations and customizations on the ServiceNow platform.
Form & Field dictionary management - for example, new field addition or modification of existing fields.Form/view layout changes, related list addition/modifications.Add/modify ACL (considering future scope).Validation of ACL for troubleshooting.Create/update SLA definitions, schedules, and respective workflows.Creation or modification of the advanced transform map scripts, which are important for transferring data smoothly into ServiceNow.Advanced Import sets scripts.Create/modify Service Catalog and workflow.Create Application/module and manage visibility of those.Manage application and forms linking & visibility.Build new workflow and customize Out of Box workflows for various applications, including Service catalogue/fulfilment request, change management, problem management, service level agreement, including custom IT/non-IT applications.Manage and develop various client-side objects like Client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, UI scripts, email scripts, server-side objects like Business rules, Script includes, Workflow scripts, Schedule, notifications, dashboards, reports.Advanced level of debugging to resolve issues related to scripts.Custom application development and enhancement.Role Pre-Requisites: The candidate should have 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Development in ITSM tools including ServiceNow. Expertise in application development, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)/SCRUM, Agile, and an in-depth understanding of Cloud stack, specifically ServiceNow. Client-side programming/front end development will be an added advantage.
Skills: Technical Skills: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Glide Scripting, XHTML, Workflow and UI development, OOPs and Database Concepts, ServiceNow ITSM Application and Service Portal Concepts.
Certifications: ServiceNow Application Developer, ITIL Foundation.
