THE ROLE
As Indie Campers SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective search engine optimization strategies to increase our website's visibility and ranking on search engines. You will also be responsible for analysing website traffic and user behaviour to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
You will be joining our Marketing team in our Lisbon HQ, reporting directly to the Brand, PR & Communications Lead, and working closely with our CMO.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
Develop Indie Camper's content strategy (landing pages, blog, and other website content) and roadmap;
Keyword research and content briefing, maintaining the content creation guide up to date and optimised;
Ensure all content is aligned with the brand tone of voice;
Manage a team of content-development freelance writers, ensuring freelancers adhere to content guidelines and deliver high-quality content;
Manage translation of content to feed multiple-language domains with a team of freelance translators;
Manage website content updates (landing pages, blog, and other website content) through Indie Campers' CMS;
Report on a suit of SEO-related KPIs including (but not limited to) keyword rankings, organic traffic, backlinks, CTR, bounce rate, conversion rate, time on page, pages per session, page load speed, and mobile responsiveness;
Articulate with Product Marketing on leveraging new business developments with SEO tactics that ultimately increase search exposure and traffic to the website;
Work collaboratively with the Social Media team to leverage Blog content.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
3-4 years of SEO expertise, content and technical (Travel industry is a plus);
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and content creation skills across multiple channels;
Understanding of SEO best practices for content;
Experience conducting keyword research to identify content opportunities and optimising content for SEO purposes;
Strong analytical skills and experience using SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, SEMRush, as well as Google Search Console and Google Analytics;
Structured and methodical in your approach to work;
Skilled stakeholder manager with strong business acumen and ability to work cross-functionally;
Expert at managing projects and multiple workstreams, with great attention to detail;
Experienced liaising with freelancers and an effective negotiator;
Confident and structured communicator to the wider business, who's able to take the rest of the business on a Content journey, within a data-driven and tech-focused culture;
Fluency in English, both written and verbal is a must.
