Job Description
As a Senior User Experience Researcher, you will use your knowledge of methodologies and perspectives of social science research as it applies to digital product design. You will lead research at the team level and are capable of managing all research aspects across the portfolio. You will leverage mixed methods approaches to understand and extract meaningful patterns of user behaviour and attitudes. Your work will generate user experience insights that will move our products forward.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
We're looking for a research leader who can see beyond what we do today and can execute on a vision for what it could become. You will work with product and design teams to support the planning and execution of research that enables Nokia to better understand its customers.
As part of the team, you will:
Bring knowledge of methodology and practices of social science research to design and research projectsSupport cross-functional team members and product functions to set research objectives and key metrics, and research roadmap planningSupport and conduct empirical research in order to understand and extract meaningful patterns of user behaviourGenerate user experience insights that will move our products forwardExperience moderating qualitative researchDesign and conduct studies that address both user behaviour and attitudes.Have the ability to do a range of research types from usability testing to exploratory discovery projectsPrioritize the optimal research methods to be used to maximize results with the most efficiencyMentor other researchers on the team.Key Skills And Experience Your skills and experience 6+ years' experience in applied product researchBachelor's or Master's degree or diploma in HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related fieldAn enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration with designers, engineers, developers, and product teamsExperience moderating qualitative researchExperience in compiling and analyzing qualitative dataThe ability to lead and manage research projects and budgetsAn empathetic and analytical approach to human-centered researchStrong ability to communicate results of research to interdisciplinary and lay audiencesIt would be nice if you also had: Experience working on complex B2B enterprise applicationsExperience in visual and illustrative communicationExperience in design thinking techniquesAbout Us Come create the technology that helps the world act together
