The Test Automation Engineer II would be an active member within the Software Quality Engineering Organization and directly in Test Automation Group (TAG) Continuous Integration (CI) team, responsible for providing automation and test support for the SW releases of Five9.
Responsibilities:
Automated smoke, component, functional, integration regression testing.
Test environment (pre-production) support and extending of framework (Python based).
Test result analysis for executed tests and issues investigation using TAG framework
logs, product logs on different code branches and for different product components,
monitoring tools.
Organization of results investigation and support in TAG.
Reporting about different types of testing by TAG to upper management.
Support of internal tools for automation testing.
Communication and cooperation with other company's teams and departments.
Collaborate and work in sync with co-workers in headquarters office (California).
Required skills:
Good team player with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experienced user of UNIX/Linux OS-s.
Experience with DBMS (MySQL is desirable).
Basic knowledge of VoIP, SIP, WebRTC.
Understanding of basic network principles (i.e. OSI model, real time protocols, network
management protocols).
Good interpersonal, reliable and communication skills.
Desired skills:
Good knowledge of software development process and software testing methodologies.
2+ years' experience in Test Automation projects.
Pro-activity in investigation of new opportunities for automation.
Understanding of CI/CD processes and basic background with tools (Ansible, Puppet,
Docker).
Experience with Monitoring Systems (Logic Monitor and Grafana are preferable).
Hands-on experience using Asterisk or FreeSwitch PBX.
Good knowledge of programming techniques and algorithms (OOP is preferable).
Hands-on experience with Python 3x and/or Java.
Experience with IAAS (VMware ESXi, OpenStack).
Integration (CI) team, responsible for providing automation and test support for the SW releases of Five9.
