.Senior Technician position at the Behavior and Metabolism Laboratory (ST Ribeiro Feb2023) The selected candidate will Develop and use behavioral tracking systems combined with computational approaches and Drosophila neurogenetics to analyze the impact of neuronal and cell specific molecular manipulations on foraging computations. Research Field PhD or equivalent Skills/Qualifications Team player with excellent English, passion for science, and demonstrated experience in managing scientific projects. At the technical level, experience in developing and using video based behavioral tracking systems in small animals (especially Drosophila), computational skills to analyze behavioral data, experience in Drosophila neurogenetics and neuroanatomy. In case of PhD degrees awarded by foreign higher education institutions, the degree must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law No. 341/2007, of 12th of October, and all formalities established therein must be fulfilled by the deadline for application submission. Selection process Candidates will be screened to determine eligibility based on minimum qualifications listed in call. Candidates meeting minimum requirements will be scored according to the required application materials: CV 70% weighting, motivation letter 20%, interview 10% (in case of a tie).
