We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems & Technical Support Engineer (Tier 3) to join the team.
Job Description We expect Senior Systems & Technical Support Engineer to: work on the deployment, installation and configuration of sophisticated Market Data/Trading/Finance and related softwarework on the administration of UNIX/Linux OS – installation, configuration and maintenancework on the administration of Network Equipment (Cisco, etc)be active on the assistance for developers, participation in DevOps activitiesimplement automation activities in order to get rid of any routinesinstall, manage, integrate and evolve in-house developed and external well-known monitoring systems (Zabbix, etc)work on the design, installation and configuration of managed servers (including physically racking and connecting the equipment to third-party devices) and cloud-based servers, networks provision servers and storage, configuration of firewalls, VPN, monitoring, etc.automate cloud and hybrid (on-prem/cloud) platform and systems deployment, including load-based auto-scaling approachesbe proactive in identifying and troubleshooting problems in testing and production environments, (generating solutions and bug reports when required) and monitoring network and systems health and status, and continuously making improvementssolve critical problems in network environments (multicast routing/latency issues/packet loss/etc.) and in Systems, platforms and data such as: unavailability/ outage/ inconsistency/ misconfiguration/ data delays/ etc.)diagnose complex issues within network stack including low level packet capture and OS system analysisparticipate in an on-call support rotation to ensure 24x7x365 coverage for critical core and customer issuesguide and mentor Tier II engineersshare knowledge within team and across other teamscommunicate with clients and partner companies' engineers on technical subjects Qualifications Requirements: 3+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux administration and/or Networkingexperience in Amazon compute cloudin-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and ISO/OSI stacksolid experience with networking (routing, switching, IP, TCP, UDP, BGP, EIGRP, VPN, DNS) and Ciscoknowledge of IP Multicast (RP, PIM, IGMP)technical knowledge to ensure safe, effective, and efficient changes to the network and systems infrastructureCI/CD and DevOps activities experienceproficiency in shell script languages: awk, perl, etcpreferred experience in cluster technologies and high availability systemsexperience in solving complex problems and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslystrong analysis, investigation and troubleshooting skillsgood written and spoken English languageAdditional skills considered an advantage: understanding high-performance, high-throughput and low-latency network technologiesknowledge of Java programming languageexperience with CDN architecturesexperience with WAN technologiesexperience with Trading/Exchange/Risk management software usage and managementexperience in working with GIT, Ansible,nginx, haproxy and similar technologiesexperience with Atlassian software (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) Life in Devexperts We will only achieve our mission if we live our culture.
