Overview
As consumer preference for digital payments continues to grow, ensuring a seamless and secure consumer experience is top of mind. The Digital Transformation (DT) team is responsible for optimizing and monetizing the value of Mastercard's Consumer Solutions through a data-driven approach & product and network thinking. The Optimization Solutions team, part of the DT organization, focuses on improving digital authorization performance globally through optimizing existing & building new Mastercard solutions.
As a Senior Specialist you will be part of a larger team supporting efforts to improve authorization performance for top digital acquirers and issuers worldwide. Primary responsibilities include data analysis to understand authorization performance and identification of gaps and opportunities. You'll apply strategic thinking to articulate where new and existing MA solutions could be leveraged by customers. You will equip regional and market level teams with knowledge on approval rate optimization and the focus areas for customers by building reports to track performance and marketing materials to demonstrate product value propositions. An ideal candidate should have strong data analytical skills, an understanding of the payments landscape, and excellent communication skills to clearly communicate with internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Global Optimization team to analyze data to identify trends, patterns, issues, and anomalies in large volumes of digital authorization data to derive insights across products, markets, and regions.
Monitor top acquirer and issuer authorization performance in detail, provide regular reports, create best practices, and advise regional teams in their optimization efforts.
Develop a deep understanding of Mastercard products and solutions to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Support the presentation of findings to various internal stakeholders in a more digestible format by highlighting big-impact opportunities and partner with them on the implementation of the recommendations.
Contribute to the commercialization of existing and new solutions by enhancing and creating new marketing materials.
Support cross-functional teams to drive product adoption, solve challenges, and ensure continuous product enhancement.
Assist in monitoring progress on all engagements and partner with Account Management, Product, and Customer Delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate implementation.
All about You
2-4 years of business experience with a proven track record in data analytics, product management, or consulting.
Experience in data analytics, data management, data mining, data reporting, data product development, and quantitative analysis.
Strong analytical skills with a track record of translating data into compelling insights and developing a storyline for internal and external presentations.
Strong knowledge of the payment industry, digital commerce strategies, best practices, and trends related to authorization, authentication, transaction routing, fraud, and chargebacks.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, Hadoop, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, and related analytics tools and experience running analysis on large datasets.
Strong communication & presentation skills.
Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating in a team environment.
Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
