Natixis in Portugal is part of the Global Financial Services division, where it applies technology for the development of financial expertise in its two global business lines – Corporate & Investment Banking and Asset & Wealth Management – and, transversally, for the entities of Groupe BPCE.
The Centre of Expertise, based in Porto, currently has more than 2,400 employees from over 30 nationalities, organised in three main departments: Information Technology, Banking Support Activities and Compliance. Job Description
Automation Strategy & Design: Define and evolve the test automation strategy, ensuring it aligns with our continuous delivery goals and long-term technology roadmap. You'll take full ownership of the Katalon-based automation framework, ensuring it supports the testing of web, API, mobile, and desktop applications.
End-to-End Test Automation: Lead the development of comprehensive automated test suites, covering functional, regression, and performance testing. Focus on scalability, reusability, and high maintainability.
Technical Leadership: Mentor and coach junior and mid-level QA Engineers and Analysts, fostering a high-performing team with best practices in test automation. Ensure code quality through regular peer reviews and pair programming.
CI/CD Integration: Collaborate closely with DevOps and development teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, Git, Jira, and Xray. Ensure the automation suite runs reliably in every build cycle.
Metrics & Optimization: Establish KPIs for test coverage, execution time, and defect detection rate. Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the automation suite, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex test failures in real-time, leveraging strong debugging skills and deep knowledge of Katalon's architecture. Collaborate with development teams for root-cause analysis.
Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and leverage new technologies or methodologies (AI, machine learning in testing, etc.) to enhance the automation framework and reduce the time to market.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as the main point of contact for QA automation, working closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure testable and maintainable code from the start.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 3 years in test automation.
Proven expertise in Katalon Studio and its suite of tools.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
Hands-on experience with integration tools such as Jira, Xray, and Jenkins.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Groovy, Java, or JavaScript.
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with API testing and database testing is a plus.
Preferred:
ISTQB certification or other relevant certifications.
Familiarity with other automation tools like Selenium or Appium is a plus.
