Job DescriptionYour contribution to something big: - Leading a global team of 12 strategic buyers for mechanic components (Portugal, Germany, China and Mexico)- Disciplinary lead for strategic buyers at Ovar- Manage Material Fields and Suppliers:Material Field Strategy: Develop and execute Strategy in line with worldwide purchasing and business strategySupplier Strategy: Manage relationship and strategic development within respective categoriesTaking responsibility for all purchasing processes from contracting, awarding, price negotiation, delivery escalation- KPI's:Support management with annual budget preparation for mechanics commodities; monthly KPI follow-up and alignmentEnsure annual cost savings contribution through negotiations and strategic awardingsInitiate and execute technical cost reduction projects- Purchasing Key Account for Manufacturing Plant Ovar:First line of contact for OvrP into the global Purchasing organization and vice virsaEnsure alignment of Purchasing and OvrP for business relevant needsQualificationsWhat distinguishes you:Education: Master's degree in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a similar field required.Personality: Open, flexible and target group-oriented communication skills as well as high level of resilience and assertiveness.
You are a passionate leader who likes to actively contribute to business success.Leadership: You have strong leadership and management skills and can proof experience in an international environment.Working Practice: Structured working and entrepreneurial mindset in an international environment.
High affinity for cross-departmental cooperation.Experience and Knowledge: 10+ years of professional purchasing experience in Purchasing of direct materials at a global player in an international environment.
Experience in supplier strategy development, bottleneck management and communication across management hierarchies.
Experience with successful regionalization is a plus.Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
