Senior Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs Specialist EMEIAThe Senior Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Specialist for our European region will serve as the primary execution lead for global and regional projects, collaborate with various internal functions, and provide training to others in the region.
You are responsible for preparing registration dossiers, monitoring and interpreting complex chemical regulations, and facilitating global product stewardship initiatives to ensure compliance and product safety.
With advanced knowledge of chemical legislation, solid project management skills, and expertise in hazard communication, you play a pivotal role in the success of our product portfolio , and contribute to the company's industry leadership and regulatory excellence.

Direct Reports: none, this position is an individual contributor however this role as project lead will have reporting obligations within project management
Department: Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs
Responsibilities You prepare registration dossiers to obtain new inventory listings and support other global regions as needed.
You function as sole contact with competent authorities during the registration process.
You facilitate global product stewardship programs as needed to fulfill the mission of the department such as but not limited to Product Risk Reviews, new regulations, and Product Export Control and Eco Label assessment.
You implement and drive global and regional projects for Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs as the primary lead for these projects including reporting as part of project management.
You represent product stewardship in discussions with other internal functions (e.g.
Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, Research and Development, Marketing and Sales).
You train others in the region on Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs topics and tasks.
You will have the opportunity to develop the competency to become deputy to the Regional Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Manager.
You monitor chemical regulations and determine product regulatory status under these regulations (primarily chemical inventories, food contact and personal care regulations) by using lists, databases such as LOLI, or government authority websites.
You prepare hazard communications documents (Safety Data Sheets, product labels, product conformation forms) and maintain product safety and compliance data in the WERCS (product stewardship database and hazard communications tool).
Decision making
Typically, you have the authority to develop and align projects with impacted stakeholders to secure legal compliance of Elementis product portfolio.
You have the authority to direct decisions on project execution, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation within budget.
This appllies to internal and external projects with customers and competent authorities.
A candidate with appropriate experience will develop the competency to become deputy to the Regional Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Manager.
Position Requirements Education: A minimum Masters in Chemistry or in Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, Environment, Biology or other science discipline related to Health, Safety and the Environment (HSE)1.Experience: Three to five years minimum of Product Stewardship or regulatory compliance experience2.IT Skills: proficiency with Office 365 tools, including Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Word and Excel.
Develop knowledge on the use of specialized product stewardship and regulation drive databases (Wercs, IUCLID, JDE etc.
).Language Skills: Verbal and written fluency in English.4.Working arrangements: Minimum of 3 days per week in the office5.Traveling required: Typically not required.What will it takeAdvanced understanding of chemical legislation in EMEA region (e.g.
REACH, CLP, KKDIK) and special regulations on food contact, cosmetics and other application-related fieldsIntermediate understanding of chemical legislation in other global chemical fields (e.g.
US TSCA, US MCA, Turkey REACH).Advanced experience in generation of hazard communications documents (e.g.
Safety Data Sheets, product labels, product conformation forms).Advanced project management skills and experience working with various functions and people to deliver projects within budget, on time, and with high quality.
