LastPass is looking for a Senior Privacy Engineer:
As a Privacy Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and privacy of user data, designing and implementing robust privacy features, and staying informed about industry best practices and emerging threats.

Who will you work with?
As a Privacy Engineer for LastPass, you will collaborate with a diverse and talented cross-functional team to ensure that privacy considerations are integrated into every aspect of LastPass product development and deployment. Your interactions will span various departments, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, including Engineering, Security and Compliance, Product and UX teams, and Incident Response in Hungary, Portugal, and the United States.
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
Privacy Feature Development Building features and tools for Privacy, Privacy Operations, and Assurance.
Collaborating with engineering and security teams to seamlessly develop and integrate privacy-enhancing functionalities.
Establishing and managing efficient processes for handling recurring customer privacy requests.
Security, Compliance, and Governance Conducting technical reviews and championing Privacy by Design principles with Engineering to safeguard user data.
Conducting privacy impact assessments and ensuring compliance with relevant data protection laws and regulations.
Performing regular audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential issues.
Working closely with the incident response team to promptly investigate and resolve any privacy breaches within existing IRM processes, in collaboration with the DPO and Legal teams.
What does it take to work at LastPass?
Background in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience as a Privacy Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on developing and implementing privacy features, ideally within a SaaS company.
Comprehensive understanding of data protection laws and privacy principles.
Ability to design and implement solutions in accordance with security industry best practices, standards, and compliance frameworks.
Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive attitude.
Effective communication abilities across diverse stakeholder groups with varying backgrounds and technical expertise within LastPass.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
It's great, but not required:
Certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) or similar (CIPP, CIPM, or ISACA CDPSE).
Experience with privacy and system inventory tools, as well as no-code automation systems.
Experience working with global teams.
