.Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Transactions Porto, Portugal Job Description: About the Role Supports the business of the organization by leading the regional Transaction team as directed by the Regional Lead Counsel, Commercial Transactions. Manages legal issues with the focus on trade practices in IT distribution with no or limited supervision. Counsels and advises management on legal problems in the transactional law area and works closely with local management teams in regard to advising and training in the matter. Participates in or conducts negotiations and transactions in the area on behalf of TD SYNNEX and assists in the defense of the organization in legal action. Supports legal compliance activities, focused on the mentioned area. What You'll Do Play an active role as a member of the global legal services team providing input in the development of policies and implementing initiatives and directives within the Country organization with the focus on contract/transactional law. Advises on legal aspects of TD SYNNEX's business within the country using sound legal and business judgment and experience with the focus on contract/transactional law. Collaborates or cooperates with local management team, global legal services team, and outside legal counsel in various matters. Communicates and interacts regularly with business clients and global legal services team in order to deliver value-added legal services. Sets work priorities, productivity goals, and provides a strong customer service focus. Advises their direct reports and supervises their daily operational work. Provides training focused on contract/transactional matters for the internal clients. Assists with the preparation or review of proposed contracts and other legal instruments to safeguard the organization's interests. Qualified legal degree from a certified educational institution required. Minimum of 5+ years in the practice of commercial/corporate law required or in-house experience in transactional work.
