About the role As a Senior Java Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Kubernetes.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions while adhering to best practices in software development and architecture.
As a senior Engineer you will also be expected to guide and lead more junior engineers and promote their growth within your teams.
As a part of your job, you will: Lead backend solutions design, development and deployment.
Distributes and delegates tasks to the other elements of the team.
Assume technical leadership role and work with Solution Architects to design backend solutions, participate in the definition of the roadmap of the solutions, coach and mentor people within projects.
Be an active member of our backend community.
Contribute to Celfocus technical roadmap and innovation initiatives.
Work on proposals involving solutions/architecture.
Be a Celfocus reference and ambassador in tech conferences and summits What are we looking for?
Java (7+ years of experience) Spring Boot (5+ years of experience) Kubernetes (2+ years of experience) Experience with Microservices architecture Proficiency in building REST APIs Relevant industry experience and educational requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 7+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend systems Knowledge on TELCO industry BSS architectures is preferable.
Nice to have: Experience with CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with Docker Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus Personal traits Ability to adapt to different contexts, teams, and clients Strong teamwork and communication skills Autonomy and ownership of projects Passion for international projects and open to occasional travel Willingness to mentor and guide junior team members Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) Problem solver mindset.
