INL is seeking a qualified Senior IT Infrastructure Administration Officer to join the team in Systems Administration activities. Job Duties The Senior IT Infrastructure Administration Officer will play a critical role in managing a streamlined, cutting-edge IT Infrastructure. The Officer will take part in the design and implementation of new IT solutions support processes and services aligned with the organizational goals of achieving excellence in research. Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, etc., and monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues; Install, configure, andmaintain servers, performing regular system updates and patch management, and managing server backups and disaster recovery solutions; Implement and manage security measures to protect systems from cyber threats, aligned with the Sec Ops Team; Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT Infrastructure users; Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights; Install, configure, andmaintain software applications and server operating systems, ensuring software licenses are up-to-date and compliant with regulations; Perform regular system health checks and maintenance tasks; Automate routine tasks using scripts and tools; Develop and maintain backup strategies and schedules, perform regular data backups and verify the integrity of backups on a regular basis; Restore data as needed and ensure business continuity; Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and incident logs; Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and other relevant metrics; Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to support organizational goals; Communicate effectivelywith stakeholders to explain technical concepts and solutions; Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to recommend improvements and innovations. Mandatory Qualifications Education Degree or MSc in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant certification.
