Your role
We are looking for a Senior Auditor to join our audit team in Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for providing insights to the business through the execution of audit projects. With the support of the Audit Manager, you will develop an understanding of the business and its risks, co-develop audit approaches and report audit outcomes. You will interact with teams within the Global Group Audit team. As a Senior Business Auditor your main responsibilities will involve
Developing own knowledge and business awareness and building business relationships
Keep the business safe by delivering relevant local and global audits, working together with the Audit Manager in determining the audit scope, risks to be addressed and most appropriate audit techniques (including data analytics)
Taking ownership of your audit work, applying your professional judgement, documenting, and reporting results in line with Group Audit standards and methodologies
Influencing the business by agreeing actions and delivering the final audit report, with support from the Audit Manager or Head of Audit, when needed
Contributing to the Group Audit global team through sharing own technical knowledge and engaging in our continuous training program.
Your skills and experience
Our ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience – but don't worry if you don't meet 100% of the requirements.
Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or professional qualification
5 years of proven experience in Audit / Risk Management / Compliance, or experience in first line roles in an insurance related field
Knowledge of Internal Audit Standards, internal control framework and audit testing
Ability to interact with stakeholders from all seniority levels and build business relationships
Excellent project management skills, ability to organize own tasks and deliver on time to high quality standards
Capacity to work in a fast-paced and multicultural environment with initiative to manage multiple competing tasks
Good verbal and written communication skills (English). Additional languages are advantageous.
Experience in applying Data Analytics
Great team player with ability to work independently when necessary
