Senior General Ledger - Aveiro

We are looking for a Senior Accountant - General Ledger, that performs the various accounting activities for a production entity and a sales entity for which you will hold the end responsibility for all of Europe.As part of the Corporate General Ledger team, you will act as a key user for all European VAT affairs, as well as provide accurate and timely accounting of the Corporate entities.You prepare all monthly, quarterly, and annual European VAT declarations for the group, coordinating with the local tax accountants, and making sure all deadlines are met. Support the Group VAT Manager by acting as a single point-of-contact for all tax-related issues to both internal and external entities.You prepare the cash flow forecasts for the Corporate entities, ICO reconciliation, and Support Accounting in the monthly closing. Closely liaise with the other Corporate General Ledger team members and others, such as Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Tax.Who are we looking for?Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant areaPrevious experience in similar responsibilities, specifically in an international VAT environmentAnalytical mindset and strong organizational skillsSolid communication skills to interact with several stakeholdersExcellent verbal and written English communication skills (mandatory)Excellent knowledge of MS Office, namely MS Excel, and ERP (SAP is a plus)Resident in Ovar or nearby areaYou have strong organizational skills and are able to process a lot of information & set priorities to meet deadlines.A hands-on mentality & working accurately with an eye for detail describe your working attitude.You have an aptitude for numbers and have strong quantitative skills.What's in it for you?A challenging position with a lot of responsibility.
