Design, implement and test firmware for our first party device EAT(Equipment Asset Tracker). Work with both Firmware engineers and QA engineers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and specifications. What we're looking for... We are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer for our firmware team in Lisbon.You will participate in the development of our VZC first party device EAT(Equipment Asset Tracker) and work with a team of Firmware engineers. You'll need to have: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Experience developing firmware for Bare Metal / RTOS architecture. Experience with FreeRTOS. Experience writing code for ARM Cortex microcontrollers such as STM32, Microchip, NXP, Renesas. Experience with ST development tools like STM32CubeIDE, STM32CubeMX and ST-LINK v3 will be highly valued Experience with software tools for static/dynamic analysis, memory management, code coverage, unit testing frameworks and techniques for analysing software. Experience with software development methodologies, version control (Git/SVN), tools (GitHub/GitLab), code reviews. Knowledge of IoT radio technologies, modems, GPS receivers, BLE. Experience in designing and debugging communication protocols like, TCP, UDP, I2C, SPI, UART and vehicle CAN bus. Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming. Even better if you have one or more of the following: Experience with MQTT Message Protocol. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for data analysis. Strong coding skills with proven ability to write well documented, maintainable, and testable code. Previous experience deploying hardware devices to production, contributing to development from concept through support and end of life. Experience in reading electronic schematics and debugging hardware. Previous experience using oscilloscope, multimeters and other tools to debug. Previous knowledge of automotive industry technologies and certifications. Working knowledge of developing firmware for manufacturing test environments. Experience with building IoT systems with OTA capabilities. Expertise building security hardened embedded systems. Previous experience with automation and DevOps. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
