Competition is open for the award of an Employment Contract for the position of Senior Development Technician reporting directly to the Coordinator of the HTIR Department – Human-Technology Interaction and Robotics, under the following conditions. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Academic training at PhD level. Candidates must have a PhD degree or be about to complete a PhD in Robotics or related areas;Competence attested by a good record of scientific publications, on topics such as human-robot interaction, intelligent systems, user modeling and personalization, motion planning, AI and related areas;Good communication, interpersonal skills, organization, time management, prioritization and meeting deadlines;Ability to work independently and in teams, including supervising students;Excellent communication and scientific writing skills in Portuguese and English.Priority will be given to candidates with experience in one (or more) of the following areas: Manipulation robotics with a focus on human/robot collaboration and mobile robotics;Participation in scientific projects;Fluency in English (spoken and written).The candidate's scientific profile in the field of robotics will be analyzed, including: Participation in scientific projects;Scientific production;Experience in research into cognitive robotic systems.FUNCTION DESCRIPTION: The selected candidate will develop research and development activities in the HTIR – Human-Robot Interaction and Robotics group, developing projects related to Robotics and User-Centered Systems. The candidate's main functions relate to:
Research into cognitive robotic systems with a focus on human-machine interaction, including a) development of prototypes and tests and b) technical supervision of teams;Development of applications for research projects;Preparation of technical-scientific reports;Scientific promotion and dissemination activities;BENEFITS: Health insurance.
WORKPLACE: The face-to-face work will be carried out at the CCG/ZGDV Institute, Headquarters in Guimarães.
CONTRACT DURATION: The contract will be for an uncertain term, scheduled to begin in December 2024.
MONTHLY PAYMENT AMOUNT: The salary amount will be defined depending on the candidate's academic background and experience presented.
