Job DescriptionThe candidate will serve as one of the Senior Data Scientists for the ERC37 group within Interior Sensing Solutions (ISS), playing a key role in advancing and developing Computer Vision (CV) features based on Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) techniques for software applications with automotive context. In this role, the Senior Data Scientist will hold primary responsibility for:
Overseeing the continuous development of the data pipeline alongside Data & Tooling stakeholders;Data pipeline integration into the development workflow of the computer vision features;Development of Computer Vision features for Occupant Monitoring Systems (OMS);Knowledge on Algorithm optimization techniques considering the target device;Knowledge with SNPE, TIVM, AmbaCV is a plus;Knowledge on data pre-processing and feature extraction techniques;Prioritize and tackle relevant Data Science challenges within the scope of the product;Lead innovation projects alongside other public funded Portuguese institutions to foster the development allied to OMS product;Oversee and transfer knowledge from Innovation initiatives to product(s);Project leadership and stakeholder engagement on solution level;Mentoring team members;Actively participate in task planning and problem-solving discussions;Engage in technical reviews to assess design, code quality, and architectural coherence, ensuring all elements meet rigorous quality standards;Stay current with industry trends and innovations in automotive software, recommending enhancements and introducing new technologies where appropriate;Serve as a technical liaison to bridge communication between developers, project managers, and other stakeholders, fostering collaborative progress toward shared objectives;Create and maintain detailed documentation, design specifications, and technical reports to ensure a robust knowledge base.QualificationsStrong knowledge of Python, Matlab, and C++ (or other OOP language) programming language (6+ years of experience);Proficient in using TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, Numpy, and Pandas;Experience in collaborating with business stakeholders, the Tech Lead, and the CTO to derive and define clear functional requirements for feature development.Additional InformationWhat we offer you: Challenges in an international environment | career opportunities in one of the best companies in the world | flexible hours | medical services | discounts for employees | sports and health-related activities | canteen | good access to public transport | space for creativity.
