Our client is a company that is expanding greatly in the energy market and is one of the largest methanol producers in the world.
They work on EPC projects in various parts of the world.
Key Responsibilities: Provide cost engineering expertise as a Senior Cost Estimator, preparing capital cost estimates, including Total-Installed-Cost (TIC), for various project stages (proposal, pre-feasibility, FEED, and EPC execution).
Develop cost estimates by analyzing proposals, specifications, and documentation.
Leverage tools like ASPEN ACCE and internal cost estimation systems for equipment pricing and cost analysis.
Continuously update and maintain cost databases to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Innovate and refine cost engineering methods, contributing to developing and improving estimating techniques and procedures.
Support engineering and project management teams by preparing equipment, labor, and materials cost estimates.
Assist in the preparation of cost portions of EPC contracts, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Review and verify Material Take-off (MTOs) against engineering documents to validate cost estimates.
Prepare trend and analysis reports to inform project decision-making.
Required Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial projects, preferably in power, heavy industrial, gas separation, oil/natural gas, or process facilities.
Strong expertise in cost estimation tools and methods, with demonstrated application in market conditions and risk management.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Familiarity with construction project environments is strongly valued.
Language skills: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German, Portuguese, or French is a plus.
Soft skills: Target-oriented mindset and strong team collaboration abilities.
