In Shipment Tracker Services, we reliably deliver trustworthy information to our stakeholders. Shipment Tracker is the most trusted source for externally triggered updates regarding container status information. We give value to our operations by providing integrations with data providers and managing the complete lifecycle of its subscriptions, ensuring seamless service. By continuously monitoring the quality of our inbound and outbound data, we offer insights to maintain high standards.
Your Role We seek a Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) to join our dynamic and agile team. In this role, you will collaborate with a global team of engineers and analysts to develop innovative solutions that delight our stakeholders and support K+N business activities. Join us and help elevate our services to the next level.
Your Responsibilities Design and propose innovative solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements.
Adopt "you build it, you own it" rule by delivering and monitoring applications in production.
Maintain clean code practices.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our setup and processes following our agile principles.
Ensure quality assurance through automated tests and code reviews.
Provide 3rd line support for the application during office hours.
Support maintaining the product-related documentation.
Demonstrate good collaboration skills and daily support for your team members.
Your Skills and Experiences More than 5 years of relevant experience.
Ability to write clean and maintainable code.
Understanding of OOP principles and patterns.
Proficiency in Java ecosystem, knowledge of Kotlin programming language (or willingness to learn).
Experience with distributed event streaming platforms (Kafka preferred).
General understanding of relational databases and ORM patterns, experience with non-relational databases is a plus.
Clear understanding of microservice architecture and serverless technologies.
Agile and problem solver mindset.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
