Introduction Sentence As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer – Focus Security in our Tech Hub in Portugal, you will play a crucial role in our cloud journey. As part of the Cloud & Platform Engineering team, you will use your comprehensive AWS expertise to implement and maintain robust cloud solutions. While you'll have a particular focus on security and governance, your responsibilities will span across various AWS services.
What you can expect in this role Continuously elevate, improve and implement new features for our AWS Platform to empower internal teams with efficient, secure, and scalable solutions.Develop and implement strategies to optimize the "AWS Landing Zone" for cost, usability, and security.Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code principles and tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and secure deployment of infrastructure changes.Keep the security status of AWS accounts up to date according to the CIS and AWS Foundational Benchmark standards.Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS security and governance services and features, and propose innovative solutions to improve our cloud infrastructure. Your essential experience and education Must-haves: 3+ years of AWS experience, especially in cloud security and governance, along with a broad understanding of IT principles. 2+ years of writing maintainable code in Python for automation. Plus, very good experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).Nice-to-haves: Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies. AWS certifications are welcome (while they're a nice to have, we're more interested in your actual experience and skills); Stakeholder Management experience to enhance alignments between teams.A strong focus on user orientation, service availability, and cost efficiency, as well as an independent, structured, and organized working style.Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.Fluent in English (Portuguese and/or German language proficiency is a plus).
