Senior Attitude and Orbit Control Systems (AOCS) EngineerAn exciting opportunity is now open for a Senior Attitude and Orbit Control Systems (AOCS) Engineer to join our client's innovative and multidisciplinary team. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of cutting-edge smart cameras for space applications, image processing hardware and software, and nano-satellites. You'll also be working on developing advanced technologies focused on Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems for Earth Observation and Space Exploration missions.Your Role:As a Senior AOCS Engineer, you will analyse system requirements, design architectures, and develop AOCS/GNC algorithms for orbital missions. You'll create tools for performance assessment, implement models in simulations, and collaborate to optimise system performance.Key Responsibilities:• Analyse AOCS/GNC System Requirements: Understand and evaluate requirements for AOCS/GNC systems.• Perform Functional Analysis: Conduct AOCS/GNC functional analysis and develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).• Design AOCS/GNC Architecture: Create architecture designs that meet the specified requirements.• Develop AOCS/GNC Algorithms: Manage and contribute to the development of algorithms for orbital missions.• Develop Covariance Analysis Tools: Create tools to assess state estimation performance.• Implement Models in Matlab/Simulink: Integrate AOCS/GNC models into Matlab/Simulink for simulation.• Execute Verification and Validation: Develop and implement strategies for model verification and validation, and prepare detailed test reports.• Optimise AOCS/GNC Parameters: Collaborate with image processing experts to optimise system performance.• Contribute to Project Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including system tests, V&V reports, and performance assessments.What You Bring:• BA/BS Engineering degree in Physics/Robotics/Aerospace or equivalent.• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.• Experience with AOCS/GNC development in Matlab/Simulink.• Prior experience in the scope of European Space Agency projects.• Experience in orbit determination and mission analysis.Why Apply?Join a company at the cutting edge of technology, where you'll find a dynamic and challenging work environment.
