Working for Open Cosmos
Aim high, go beyond! At Open Cosmos we are solving the world's biggest challenges from space, providing businesses, governments and researchers access to more readily available information than ever before - ready for the challenge? Then read on…
Working in the AIT Team
This team is the workshop for Open Cosmos satellite missions! The team provides engineering support during the design phase, then actually builds and tests the satellite - it doesn't get much cooler than this!
What will you be doing?
Building and testing our satellites is at the heart of an AIT Engineer's job - how cool is that?! You'll also integrate them into the launcher ready for the journey ahead!
None of this happens without plenty of preparation, so you will be planning and executing AIT campaigns from first engineering models until launch.
Our satellites need to be able to survive in space with minimal input from the ground, so functional and environmental testing are key to success!
You will also support aspects relating to quality and stock management, keeping clear and appropriate documentation. Throughout all stages, you will engage with colleagues from R&D and project management departments.
What you need to be successful:
You'll need to be an all-rounder, with hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical assembly, as well as operating Linux systems.
You'll have strong knowledge of satellite systems and common AIT processes.
You'll know the practical implications of working in a clean room and lab environment.
You'll be proactive and curious in your approach to work, always looking for more effective ways of doing things.
Please submit your CV in English.
